Subject: [HEAR US] HVCA Meeting question - Stop sign??
Dear Neighbors :
The DPW is asking the following question : "what happened at the Community Meeting regarding the Stop Sign?..."
Due to family obligations, I couldn't attend the meeting, but a member of the HEAR US group was kind enough to give me an agenda and a detailed report.
There is no mention of the 3 Way Stop sign.
Did anyone else in our group attend the January 22nd meeting? If so, could you please provide some feedback?

Thanks,
Mari

    Hi Mari-

As chair of the Community Meeting, I asked repeatedly during the Public Comment portion of the meeting for people to bring up any item they would like to talk about. I had even suggested to one person before the meeting that they bring up the stop sign question. No one brought the subject up even though we endured many moments of silence as I asked for public comment.

What did come up during that part of the meeting was a complaint about large construction equipment being unloaded and loaded off large trailers on Evergreen Avenue. Frequently, it was reported, the trailers are left parked on Evergreen for multiple days. I have asked the County to comment on this and asked if their are any regulations about it. I've not heard back yet.

Sorry you couldn't attend the meeting.

    Al

    Mari,

I attended the HVCA meeting 1/22. There was no mention of the
3-way-stop or anything about the sidewalk in their agenda. I didn't
bother to bring them up because "It wasn't on the agenda!" At the last
Joint Committee meeting I brought up "what wasn't on the agenda" and
everybody snarled, "that's not on the agenda!"

At the HVCA Meeting, they were electing board members and giving speaches.
They had open comments at the end of the meeting, I may have stepped
outside to talk to someone by then.

I saw a couple of nearby neighbors there from the group .
I didn't think anyone there (besides the neighbors) would even know
what was going on about the Melrose intersection?

I was busy talking "sidewalk" with someone outside, who came to the
meeting for the first time hoping to hear something about the
    sidewalk!

    Keith

Not a word about the stop sign! At the meeting.
